Chocolate Cake
You’ll Need:
1/2 cup of butter, softened
2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
3 ounces of unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
2 cups of sifted flour
2 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
1 cup of sour cream
1 cup of boiling water
Procedures: Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Grease two 9-inch round cake pans, and dust the pans with flour.
Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Add the eggs, and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla and chocolate.
Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl. Alternately add flour mixture and sour cream to butter mixture, beat well after each addition. Stir in boiling water, the batter will be thin.
Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake for 35 minutes. Cool in pans on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then turn out onto the rack, cool completely before frosting as desired
